Gather ‘round the laptop screen and iPads, kids. It’s time to dive into the shoes and purses portion of the gothic capsule wardrobe.

Item No. 1: Boots

A pair of lace-up combat style boots is a must. You don’t have to buy docs, but they are great. I have had the same black pair for over a decade and wear them twice a week.

Item No.2: Tall Boots (Click Images for Links)

This is really a dealer’s choice situation because we all have different styles we love, and we all also have needs. I have a knee injury so I can’t wear certain styles, but I think some kind of knee-high boot is a great addition to the wardrobe. Something like these or something like the Demonia Shaker-100s.

Item No.3: Chunky Flats or Creepers (Click Images for Links)

Again, whatever is more your style! I am a chunky flats kind of gal. These are just really versatile.

Item No.4: Ballet Flats or Mary Janes (Click Images for Links)

You got to have them.

Item No. 5: Sneakers

You need a pair of walking around sneakers, and I personally am a standard issue vans girl.

Item No. 6: Corsets & Stays (Click Images for Links)

Whether you wear them over or under your clothes, corsets are incredible assets. If you like stays, adding a couple of them to your collection also expands the number of outfits you can get out of your wardrobe.

Item No. :7 Harnesses (Click Images for Links)

I love a good harness, and its a pretty ubiquitous goth accessory.

I am someone who needs a huge bag to tote my stuff in, and I absolutely love the Vampire Slayer Bag from The Beheaded.

Item No. 9: Medium Bag

It’s not a bad idea.

Item No. 10: Clutch or Going-Out Bag
